A Little Congrats...

This week must have been National Baby Week as we've known 3 babies born in 4 days, plus 2 more kids with birthdays this week.  So just a little Congrats to Shawn and Ann or their baby girl, Ada June (4/20), Brad and Bonnie on their baby boy, Blaine Chandler (4/22) and Brett and Meg, on their baby boy, Flynn Joseph (4/24).

We also wish Kellen (4/22) and Sawyer (4/24) very Happy Birthdays turning 2 and 3, respectively!  Now I know what everyone does in late July!

Happy Anniversary!

Just want to take a moment to wish my parents a Happy 41st Anniversary!  Last year was the big one that we helped them celebrate, unfortunately, we don't have any big surprises this year!  AND I don't have any pictures of them, I don't think....that's pretty bad.  Anyway, Happy Anniversary guys, we love you and we'll see you soon!

Happy 2 year Blogiversary to Me!

Two years ago today, I started my blog in anticipation of my little man's arrival.  Now 370 posts and 180 followers later, I'm pretty satisfied with what I have created.  Sure, I'd like to advertise and have a few more followers, but with working and being a Mommy full time I'm content with the content....ha.  I have met more than a few cool people that are now my Mommy blogger friends and have gained many new insights into motherhood and life.  It's a work in progress, but something I'm going to enjoy one day looking back on it.

To celebrate, I'd like to give my blog a facelift.  I've always done it myself, with the help of a few Internet friends here and there, but I think this month, I'm going to pay someone to do the whole shebang.  I just have to figure out what kind of theme I want, etc.  If you know of any good and affordable blog designers or any good websites to see samples, let me know.  Until then, Happy 2 years to We're In For It!

Happy Anniversary!

Although I'm not at home and can't post any good pictures, I do want to take a quick moment to give a shout out to my parents who have been married for 40 years today!  Wow!  I can't even imagine!  Happy Anniversary!  Love you guys!  Perhaps we have a special treat coming up in the future for you ;) ;)

Home tomorrow, thank God.

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

In just a few short hours, we will be embarking on our 1st flight w/ a toddler.  Sounds like loads of fun, if you ask me?  See, I'm not a big fan of flying anyway, traveling stresses me out and on top of that, traveling with an almost 2 year old during his  nap time, on 2 different flights, half way across the country really stresses me out.  I'm trying to think the best and cross my fingers for an uneventful flight and a fun trip with family.  Luke's sister is getting married and it will be nice to see everyone, since we haven't seen them in 18 months.  But I have to admit, that what I'm really looking forward to is getting home....safely.  What can I say, I'm kind of a homebody.  Wish us luck, I'm sure I'll have some good stories to share.

Celebrations All Around!

This past weekend I went home to my parents' house to visit. Although it had been quite a while since Gage had seen his Grandparents, the real reason I went was to celebrate my very best friend from high school having her 1st baby in July!  I am so excited for her and her husband and had a really nice time celebrating with her at her shower and just catching up in general.  As you can see from the picture, she looks great to be 7 months along!

Gage also got to spend time with his Nana, Granddiddy and Auntie, so all in all it was a good weekend.

Then came Sunday, when the events of 9/11 came full circle and Osama bin Laden was killed!  A man who had caused such great pain and hardship to our country was finally located and murdered after 10 years!  September 11, 2011 is still fresh in my mind 10 years later, and fortunately, not because I knew any victims, but just because I think it was one of the 1st defining moments for our country in my 'adult' years that I can recall.  Regardless, I think his death is good closure for all those affected and for all citizens in general.  Thank you to all who serve and have served in our country's military and risk your lives so that we may live our lives to our discretion!  And man, can you imagine being in that Navy Seals group?  Wow...is all I can say!

Also, today one of my best friends and Matron of Honor in my wedding welcomed her third child, but first daughter into the world!  Baby Estelle was born this afternoon and I can already tell she will be spoiled rotten!  Her 2 big brothers don't know what is about to hit them.  Congratulations Malisa and John!

Another family friend's little girl turned 4 today!  Happy Birthday Evie, you're such a big girl now!

P.S.  I have no idea why these pictures look so crappy!
