This is so last week....

but really, did anyone feel dumber after wasting 3 hours of their time or ~2.25 hours on DVR watching The Bachelor.  I mean yes, I saw it coming, I didn't even really need to watch it, but come on....it was SO lame.  Not even an exciting or juicy finale.  Just the same old crap.  Courtney acting dumb and Ben defending her.  It should've been obvious (almost as obvious as Brad picking Emily) but I'm just so disappointed that I wasted all of my time...ha.  I know how pathetic it sounds.  But really, I haven't done too much in the last few months at night besides watch TV and I'm always like 5-6 days behind real time......and now I have nothing to show for it....ha.

Ok, I'm over the Bachelor and not really excited about watching Emily in May, either.  Anyway, on to more exciting news this weekend. Holy upsets!  Did you see the NCAA tournament Friday??  Craziness.  A 15 seed hasn't beaten a 2 seed in 11 years and twice in one day?!?  Awesome!  That's why March Madness is great...most of the time.  I'm not in any bracket this year for money, but I wish I was.  LOTS of people's bracket's were ruined this weekend.  I hope it's a crazy year and some random 4 or 5 seed wins!  Hopefully they'll be some more upsets today....I can only hope!  Hope you all had a good weekend and that your weather was as pretty as ours!

Week 13

How far along:  13 weeks 2 days 

Total weight gain:  7 lbs...yes, I know more than necessary AND there's a girl I work with who is 27 weeks along and she's gained only 15lbs...opps. 

Stretch marks:  Not yet, gotta get some cocoa butter soon though.

Maternity clothes: I haven't caved yet, but I'm almost there.  Worn the Bella Band once and dug out all the clothes to see what I have and have started to borrow.

Sleep:  I am SO tired and most nights can't sleep.  Go to bed every night at 9pm and if you know me, that's not me.

Cravings:  chocolate, but can't think of much else.  When I get stuck on something though, I HAVE to have it.

Best moment this week:  Sleeping in this morning:)

Movement:  Nope.  Too early.

Gender:  Girl, if you ask Gage and I.  Won't find out 'til May.

Labor signs:  Heck no!

Bellybutton in or out:  In

What I miss:  Dr. Pepper and the occasional glass of wine

What I am looking forward to:  Finding out that it's a girl so I can buy this cute bedding.

Happy Birthday Bonnie!

My dear friend, Bonnie turns 32 today!  Opps....sorry, were you still telling people you were 25?  Anyway, please head on over to her blog and wish her a great one.  Bonnie and I have been friends for YEARS and I'm glad to say we still keep in touch.  We finally got together over Christmas and visited for a few, although it's sad it isn't more often.  In any case, Happy Birthday Bonnie!  Hope to see you soon!

Where have we been?

It's a long story so I guess I'll start from the beginning.  I've been looking for a cute way to make the announcement, trying to get Gage to tell you guys himself, or get a picture of him in his cute new shirt, but as I said, I have been highly unmotivated after work these days.  Some nights it was all I could do to play with Gage for a few hours, feed him dinner, put him to bed and then all I wanted to do was rest.  So I'll just come out with it!  This soon to be baby is taking it ALL out of me.  That's right, we're expecting and Gage will be a big brother in late September.  Old news it seems since EVERYONE is pregnant this year.  It's a repeat of when Gage was born. 

In any case, I was hardly sick with Gage at all, tired, but not really sick.  But when you have no other kids, you can sit on your ass after work and not have to worry about anything.  You can eat cereal for dinner and go to bed whenever you want.  So that might have something to do with it.....but this time I.WAS.SICK.  I felt horrible EVERY day and EVERY night for a long time.  I think that's why the 1st 12 weeks drug by soo slowly this time.  I am right at 12 weeks, as of yesterday and feeling much better.  I still have my moments and I'm still crazy tired, but things are looking up.  And I'm feeling some of my motivation coming back, which is awesome.  I sure hope for the 2nd trimester that I had with Gage when I didn't miss a beat and every day I almost forgot I was pregnant.  However, up until now everything has been different with this one, so we'll see what that means.  What it means to me, by the way, is it's a GIRL.  Gage thinks it's a girl and I have from the beginning.  I'm putting it in print now, so you all can joke on me when it's not. 

I'm already starting to show and can't button most of my pants.  Kinda made it hard at work when I was trying to hide it.  Luckily I had a few pairs of pants from after I had Gage and went back to work that were kinda big on me.  I've been wearing those, along with my 'stretch' pants from NY&Co. and they have held me over, but it won't be long before I have to break out the maternity pants.  Oh, what fun!

I'm excited to keep this blog during my pregnancy since I didn't have that luxury before when I had Gage.  I kept a journal, but not an online one.  I also never did the weekly updates either, so I'll have to find one I like and start it next week.  I just haven't even been able to write anything in the last few weeks/months.  Not only because I was so tired and sick, but also because everything that went through my head and everything I wanted to write about centered around Gage becoming a big brother and us becoming parents of two.  I really couldn't think of much other than that.  Now that we are at 12 weeks and heard a healthy heartbeat on Wednesday I feel the need to share and hopefully share I will.  More to come....

Another 2 weeks....

have gone by and no blog post from me.  Most of you probably haven't noticed, but nevertheless......I have been as a whole so unmotivated.  And it's one of those things, that once you get out of the habit, it's that much harder getting back into it.  I have tons to share and hopefully will be doing so soon.  We took this video of Gage Thurs. night......whenever it's bed time now and we want to read to him, he says, 'I want to read to myself.'  So that's just what he did.  Sorry the quality is crappy (I still don't know why people rave about iPhone videos) but it was the best I had at the moment.
