Mommy Help...

Mommies, I need your help...

I need some suggestions.  This might seem an obvious question to some but my brain can't wrap around it.  Gage is short (as are most toddlers) and obviously can't reach any of the sinks in the house.  We wash his hands before he eats with baby wipes, unless we feel he is especially dirty.  I'm sick of this, I want my child to wash his hands  like he does at daycare, where they have a baby sink.  My problem is that I have no idea how to get him up to the sink, other than a step stool.  Problem is, no step stool is high enough.  My kid is short, did I mention?  However, he can't be the shortest toddler ever and I know others have had this problem.  I just don't know what to do, other than to hold him up and pin him between myself and the sink while I try to turn the water on, soap us his hands and turn it off.  Why does this not seem like a hard concept, but for me it is?  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Mommies: Input Needed

We bought a video monitor before Gage was born and got a pretty good deal from a woman who posted on Craigslist. We've loved having it and although it was old school (big monitor) it was only $50, which was half the price we would've found elsewhere.  However, a year later, it kicked the bucket.  It's ok, since we only paid $50, I'm not mad, we got it 2ndhand, what did we expect?   But now we're in the market for a new one.  I need suggestions.  I'm assuming most of you have one, now tell me what kind and what you love/hate about it.  We're not looking for a $200 one either but right now they're 15% off at BRU, so let me know your thoughts!  Thanks!

Cosco Scenera?

Does anyone own a Cosco Scenera convertible carseat?  I know, I know, most of you own Britax's, but I just haven't been impressed to spend that much money and plus this is for our 2nd car only.  One that Gage has ridden in about 20 times total in 9 months.  The Scenera is actually top rated on Consumer Reports so for it's $40, can't be too bad; however, I'm reading that the biggest complaints are it's uncomfortable and hard to install.  The uncomfortable thing isn't a big deal since again, he will  only be riding in it on an occasional basis, but just wondering if anyone can speak from personal experience. Thanks!

Another car seat question??

For those of you w/ older babies, older than mine that is, do you still use any kind of neck support/pillow, etc? Gage's head is very small and he has just now outgrown his baby head support (I know, laugh it up) and although I know he doesn't need it to support his neck, he seems very upset about the fact that it is gone since it was quite a comfy way to nap. Do they make these for bigger kids and if so, any good recommendations? Thanks.

Car Seat Recommendations?

I will write more later on this past week, but lately I have been doing research into a big boy car seat. Altough, we don't have to buy one 'til the end of the year, I have started looking in case I find one I HAVE to have and then I'll be on the lookout for a sale or coupons.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a over 1 year front facing car seat? I have looked into Consumer Reports, etc. and find that the new Graco Nautilus 3-1 seems to be pretty highly rated but have read reviews that it's extremely uncomfortable. I know Britax is highly popular but also highly expensive. I have seen one Evenflo model I like. Please let me know if any of you have any thoughts on ones to buy or ones to stay away from. Thanks so much.
